The first news of the farm dates back to the end of the 1400s in a Renaissance Florence. In that period, the noble Capponi family began the construction of the farm, on the top of a hill from which, the name “Poggio Capponi”. The settlements of the peasants were born and the cultivation of vines, olive trees and wheat developed which still continues today. Thus, for more than five hundred years the Fattoria Poggio Capponi has shown its visitors one of the most evocative views of the region.
