The Amedeo Bassi Festival is dedicated to great classical and opera music.
The ideal setting for the festival is Piazza Machiavelli, in the heart of Montespertoli, which turns into an open-air theater for a few days, hosting on stage orchestras and opera singers who make their voices resound within the ancient walls by measuring themselves with Italian-style belcanto in tribute to the famous tenor Amedeo Bassi.
The Festival is also an important opportunity for the Montespertoli community to present the Amedeo Bassi Culture Award to citizens who have distinguished themselves for their merits and actions in the social and cultural spheres.
The festival established in 2009 has hosted dozens of operas and concerts by major national artists over the years.
