S. ANDREA D’ARTISTA

30 November, 2023

“SantAndrea d’artista” represents, as every year, an opportunity to highlight the art and artists of the Montespertoli area. This year, on Nov. 30, Arturo Bartolini ‘s work“Sea without Borders” will be donated at 4 p.m. in the Council Chamber of the City Hall. The event will be enhanced by the performance of some songs by the New Amedeo Bassi Philharmonic.

Young Arturo Bartolini, a boy from Montespertolo with autism spectrum disorder, has shown remarkable talent in drawing from an early age, making it his main means of expression. Over the years, Arturo has enriched his communicative and cognitive skills through the relentless work with which he has refined style and techniques in a continuous development of his artistic expressions. His works represent personal reinterpretations, each carrying a unique meaning.

The work, which will be on display from Nov. 30 in the Palazzo Comunale in Montespertoli, invites deep reflection on the extraordinary ability of human beings to adapt, a virtue parallel to the coexistence of painted creatures from such diverse environments. The painting, a veritable hymn to adaptability, suggests a valuable lesson inspired by the marine world, where the lack of boundaries and the presence of unceasing fluidity provide a striking contrast to the reality of our everyday lives, which are often characterized by rigidity and limitations.

At Arturo Bartolini’s official website, www.arturobartoliniworld.com, you can learn about the artist and his biography.

At 5:30 p.m., the magic of Christmas will come to life in People’s Square with the lighting of the tree and illuminations. A colorful round with the Montegufetti, the opening of the skating rink and a toast by theMontespertoli Merchants and Artisans Association will make the atmosphere even more festive.

A patronal Mass is scheduled at 6 p.m. at St.Andrew ‘s Church in Machiavelli Square.

TheSolidarity Emporium “The 12 Baskets” on Martini Street will be opened at 7 p.m. The Solidarity Emporium will be a place where people, in situations of economic hardship, can purchase basic necessities free of charge through a special card. A project created through the collaboration of Misericordia, P.A.Croce d’Oro and Parish Caritas.

The evening will continue with a convivial dinner at the ANSPI Sottolemura Circle.

All are invited to participate in a day that is meant to be a symbol of the cohesion and vibrancy of the Montespertoli community.
