LOFT 19 is hosting thanks to the Ancient Grains Food Community and the Cultural Department of the Municipality of Montespertoli a beautiful and valuable exhibition by the young Iranian artist Sepideh Sarlak. His art develops in many different forms related to a composition of colors, cutouts, threads, soft and delicate fabrics similar to his soul, stains, and shapes that evoke the intimate deep desire to instill hope, spirituality, grace, and magic.
“Breath”
“A series of works I made during my recovery from Covid, going from the big city to sacred nature, and trying to express myself with its fragments. A thanksgiving to nature, in my own way. On this occasion I have also placed side by side a few pieces from the series “My Persian Carpets,” made for a study of my Iranian roots, a journey through flowers and threads, representing the interiors in Iran, and some fabric and embroidery paintings, representing the Eden garden, made of light and poetry.” Sepideh
Sepideh Sarlak graduated in graphic design from Honarhaie Tajasomi Art High School in Tehran, Iran, then came to Italy to study art, earning a bachelor’s degree in painting with honors from the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, Italy. Participates in the Summer Arts workshop in drawing and painting at Fresno State University in California. He specializes at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts and the Saint-Lucas Academy in Ghent. Sepideh exhibits his works at Pitti immagine, “Gat – young talented artists” within the Artur-OilMust contemporary art exhibition, “Start Point” i.e. the first Biennale of young artists in Florence, “In the beginning it was not an island” at the “Assab One Cantiere” exhibition space in Milan, “Inner architectures” in Florence, “Interior Landscapes” at the Otto Gallery in Rome, “The Sun in the Heart” at the Immaginaria Gallery in Florence, “Immensity” in Tehran at the Haftsamar Gallery, “Instances of the Heart” at the CB 32 Space in Milan, at the Frescobaldi Palace in Florence and in many other exhibition venues including finally at LOFT 19 in Montespertoli.
