The Municipality in collaboration with the local farms has decided to propose a new spring initiative entitled “Weekend in the Cellar”. The goal is to have the wines of the local companies tasted and directly in the cellars, offering enthusiasts of all ages, but also the simple curious, a taste of what it is to work in the fields and then in the cellar, to experience emotions. authentic in company, toasting the beginning of spring.

For three weekends, the cellars of Montespertoli will be open to welcome visitors with guided tastings, visits to the cellar and walks in the vineyard.

The 2023 edition is scheduled for three spring weekends, April 22-23 , April 29-30-May 1, May 6-7, and will engage visitors in a rich program of initiatives.

It starts on April 22-23 with theAzienda Agricola Marzocco di Poppiano – Via di Fezzana 36/38 – Montespertoli (FI), a reality that covers about 70 hectares, of which 35 are planted with vines and 8 with olive trees, where the most beautiful, ripe and full-bodied grapes are harvested to give life to IGT and
DOCG recognized and awarded by industry experts. Selection of the bunches, destemming, sorting of the berries evinification: activities that determine the success of a work that requires months of constant care and that visitors will get to savor. On April 22-23 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., with prior reservation, there will be tastings, with cellar tours, of three DOCG and igt wines and a cheese and cold cuts board from the area of excellence. It continues, then, on April 29-30 and May 1, withLa Ripa Verde Farm, Fattoria di Polvereto, Fattoria di Trecento and Tenuta Morianoper ending the weekend of May 6-7 with Fattoria di Polvereto and Fattoria di Trecento.
